Using only images for left sidebar wth categories

Hi guys

Ive just started a project and I am stuck as to how I go about the next step. If it has been answered before I sincerely apologise but I can't find what I want in the FAQ.

I would like to know how to have ONLY images for the sidebar links eg.

EDIT: Also im sure this is really easy and can be done where ive already done the code for the shading but every time i change something everything dies!!!

If most people who viewed your post are like me, they can't see your image. For some reason, I can't expand any image from imageshack, so it's too small to see what you're attempting.

Anyway, it looks like you want images as your category names in the category sidebox. This mod will do that:
