Well, normally what I do is just that: Move the files up a folder, edit the config files, and usually update the session directory after I confirm that the storefront is working.

It's clear that whatever you've done hasn't worked, and the first thing to fix is your configure.php files.

So, post them here, unedited except for removing the database password.

That's the last thing to do. Don't bother with that until after the storefront is working properly and you're not being asked to install.

oh ok, I know there are sessions in the store but I need to get it working first. Well I guess I will troubleshoot some more with the config files. I have gone over and over them. I am now crossed eyed. I will look at that thread about moving files you sent me.

    Thanks! :)

Ok I just took care of the whole mess and moved everything back, at the risk of loosing everything. I created a front page html to make everthing simpler and now I can move on. This is my 2nd database. I lost my first database with almost 700 products. I do not want to loose this one.

You can check it here. If it looks ok then I can breath and move forward. I just could not get it to work with them filed right under the public_html folder that is why I created a shoppe folder.

Thanks again so much for your help, your a good Dr. :)

I guess I don't have to look at config files now :)

I'm not sure why you would have lost your database. Backups are important, no matter what you're doing. But moving a site from one folder to another has nothing to do with the database data. If you ran zc_install and wiped out your database by treating it as a new install, well, then ya you'd lose your data. But that's what database backups are for. I recommend that you get in the habit of regular backups of both the database and all your PHP/image/etc files.

Yes I did back up my store files. As far as database backups, I know how to back them up but to re-install them, I do not know how and my fee is 70.oo ea time to reinstall and that hurts a bit..

Yes I don't know how I lost my first database. I was because that darn directory was bugging me and I tried to figure it out and here all I needed to do was create a html file.

    Thanks for your time again.

    Have a nice evening.
