UPS module too expensive

Hi, I've set up a store and the UPS module is charging way to expensive. For a 1pound item, shipping to the same zipcode, I'm getting 9 something for Ground Shipping, and the most expensive up to 50+. To ship internationally, the cheapest is going up to 90+ dollars. How can I set it up correctly, please advise. Here are my settings below:
Package Tare Small to Medium - 0:3
Large packages - 10:1

United Parcel Service

Enable UPS Shipping

This may or may not help, but with your tare setting as it is, your 1lb item is going to be quoted as a 4lb package.

I actually just changed it to 0:0 and the shipping price still remain the same

the UPS module uses published rates that are available to the general public. Not what ever you might be getting from UPS.

9 something for 1 pound box is about right seeing as you have 2.75 handling fee added on. You also have it set to residential which is there highest rate.
