Actually, yes, I got it working..... I set up a brand new hotmail/live account dedicated to the webstore and used the newest version, 1.01a, and all is good. I dont really know what I did differently from the last time I installed it but it is working this time. I believe the issue was in where the file got copied for the templates directory, verify that gets copied correctly because when I was checking after using filezilla to ftp them up, the template directory file was missing....

/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_messenger_live.php

make sure it's in "your template" directory.... file attributes shouldn't be an issue but verify they are correct and you should be up and running.

Finally i got it working. I didnt setup a new account. Just uninstalled and installed the newest version.

In the old install readme file it is not written: (DO NOT COPY THIS PART >>> @apps.messenger.live.com)

I think many do this mistake. So thanks Howard and thanks to the contributor for this update and text.

Glad you got it working. The latest version should work for everyone without any modifying at all.

There were a few errors in the original version that stopped it working, both in the readme and in the php files. all i did was change them so that it was easier to follow in the readme and make it so it was straight forward to configure.

Well thank you for the contribution! Hopefully, when I get a bit more familiar with PHP, I will be able to do the same. My choses languages and platform was phased out a number of years ago....

Ive installed this with no issues, and set web prescence to everyone, pasted in the correct number, and changed my settings in Tools/Options in my messenger to contactable by anyone, but it always says Im offline - Ive even pasted the standard iframe complete code into a stand alone html file outside of zencart and it still says Im offline.

Anything I could be missing, doing wrong?

i have installed it.
The messenger button is showing. But the only thing showing is the messenger head, i can not see my screenname or the body of the messenger icon.

How can i change this so it will show only the Icon or the button with the text visible.
