Left Column to Take Up Entire Left Side

I am using a blank sidebox in the left column of my zen cart site to add an animated gif. I would like the left column to continue up to the top of the page and the header image (logoWrapper div) to be to the right of it. These two divs are contained in two different files I believe....how can I accomplish this?

With considerable difficulty. If it's the blank sidebox you want up in the header area, you can do that with absolute positioning, but it will still be in the headerWrapper area.

It is possible - see either of my sites, where the logo is in the left column but manages to be in the top-left corner of the page. As stevesh says, it's done using absolute positioning for that top-left element, then applying a large top-margin to the next sidebox in line so it stays down where it's supposed to be.

And in your stylesheet, you would give a padding-left to #headerWrapper, so all of its contents would be kept to the right of your sidebar display.
