Renaming pages is mostly by using Admin -Tools - Developers Tool Kit to search for, say, 'page 2' to find the files where that's defined so you can change it.
If it's really define pages and not EZ pages you want to add, there's a (Windows only) mod that does that.

Take a gander at Configuration >> Define Page Status
You'll be able to do a lot there.A little help with colors.
