Uploading Files Ftp Xampp

Can someone please tell me how to upload files when using xampp for testing environment on your pc?

I have Xampp installed on windows along with Filezilla that was in the Xampp download.

I am able to log onto the Filezilla server, but none of my files show up, I click this and that, and still nothing.

So my question is, what is wrong with this?

I would like to use ftp to change my file permissons and install some zen mods.

This is a question that would probably be better answered on the FileZilla or XAMPP forums. Though you would need to provide more information about the installation. It's unclear whether you are running XAMPP on a local machine (in which case why is there a need to upload anything?) or a remote server (in which case why do you need XAMPP?).
