    Default Zen Cart/Dreamweaver or both

Yes I know I'm a few bricks short of a load!!!!

I want my website to have a shopping cart, I really like the look of this zen cart software but don't really know exactly where it starts and ends.

1: Do I build the entire website with Zen Cart or build it with Dreamweaver and just do the add to cart fuction and database etc with Zen.

You build the whole thing with Zencart. Zencart won't work as a shopping cart back end for an existing site.

What I've done is divide my site into two parts.

    My galleries and my store.

If you just want to sell stuff build the store.

If you had a garden shop you could tell everyone about it via a website and then if you want to sell them stuff in addition to it - build the store as an add on and what I mean by add on is - you'll be doing 2 sites - garden shop more static info - the store - more dynamic as stuff changes - but it can also be standardized.

Thanks stevesh, I take it the ZC software is installed onto my computer as any other software, I design and build the shopping cart website and then ftp it to my webspace.

Thanks janissaire, looks like it's going to be easier to re build my website as I can't intergrate it. Maybe have home page etc built in dreamweaver which is then linked to stand alone shopping cart website. Or as stevesh says just build the whole thing with ZC.
