Shipping only costs under certain value flat rate

HI There,

Unsure of where to post this one.

There wasn't general shipping section.. only shipping modules.

Anyways, the store I have has never used shipping payments they have always been free.

Now we would like to introduce shipping costs ONLY to products Under a certain value ($100). It is a flat rate of $10 to be added. We only ship Nationally.

In the future we would like to go international. (Could be 6+ months away)

What is the best way for me to achieve this? Am I better of with a shipping module? Is there one that can be recommended to suit my needs?

What method are you using now to have Free Shipping?

Are all of your Products Downloads?

Or marked as Virtual?

Or marked as Always Free Shipping?

Or 0 weight is setup to mean Free Shipping?

NO products are downloads or virtual.

Product is Virtual: No, Shipping Address Required

Always Free Shipping: No, Normal Shipping Rules

I have flat rate shipping. With cost: $0.00

Free shipping options: Not installed.

Change Flat Rate from 0.00 to 10.00 ...

Change Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping to Free Shipping on Orders Over 100.00 ... and set just for National ...

OK I added the changes.

However, when I go into checkout process for a product over 100 it has added the $10.00

Do I need to go through all products over 100 and change:

Always Free Shipping: Yes, Always Free Shipping ?

Maybe I totally missed what you are trying to do ...

Are you trying to charge $10 when the "Order is under $100"?

Or ... are you trying to charge $10 IF "1 or more Products in the cart is under the Price of $100" for the Product Price?

yes when the order is under $100.00 I want to add + $10.00 shipping :)

If over $100 then no shipping fee.

Then you should have that working with the settings with the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping ... if you set the Free when over 100.00 and you enable that feature ... and you set it for National ... then only when the Order is over 100.00 will you see Free Shipping, otherwise Flat Rate at 10.00 will show ...

NOTE: make sure you ENABLED the Free Shipping as well as set the 100.00 on it ...
