Banner_box and Banner_box2 displays same content... how to change?

In Layout Boxes Manager, I turned on both my banner_box and banner_box2.

I edited the individual titles to these banners in my english.php to dictate the purposes of the boxes..

but the actual problem comes with the contents.

I edited the contents of a SideBox-Banner in my Banner Manager and it changes the image of both banner_box and banner_box2, I cannot edit them individually.

I need one banner box to show a "free shipping" picture, and the other to show a "paypal" picture.

Make sure that both boxes are enabled in your layout boxes controller, under tools.

Just thought of something....since it is a banner linking to paypal (which would require ssl), that may be a reason? I am no expert by any means. But you may need to edit the field in banner manager for showing ssl. Also, make sure your status is showing as green for that banner.

Both banners are enabled in my layout boxes controller.

The paypal picture is actually stored on my ftp, not linking to paypal so SSL is not an issue.

My main question was how do I edit the contents of banner_box and banner_box 2 individually?

Let me make sure I understand this correctly. You have them showing up separately in the banner manager (one says "we accept" and one says "free shipping"), but no matter which one you edit, they both show up with the paypal image?

Do I have that correct?

Have you double checked to make sure that the image url is not the same in both banners? Was the shipping image correctly uploaded to your images/ banners folder?

Okay let me try redescribing haha

I have 2 banner boxes:
1. banner_box2 (Titled Free Shipping, edited in english.php)
2. banner_box (Titled We Accept, edited in english.php)
Both are enabled in my Layout Boxes Controller

I need them both to display different images
1. banner_box2 will display a pic representing free shipping
2. banner_box will display a paypal accepted payment method pic

When I go into Banner Manager, I only have 1 active banner. It seems to control the contents of BOTH banners. When I disable the banner, both 1. and 2. disappear. When I enable it, both banners appear again.

How do I leave 2. alone, and go about editing the contents of 1. ?

You said you only have one banner in your banner manager. You need to add your second banner. That would be your problem, I suspect. After you add your second banner, you can edit the image and where it will show up. Hope this has helped.

The sideboxes/banner_box.php and sideboxes/banner_box2.php
will rotate the banners that are assigned to the Banner Group Sidebox-Banners.

The sideboxes/banner_box_all.php displays static banner/banners.

So, if you have two banners and don't want them to rotate, assign one of them to the Group BannersAll in Banner Manager.

Or, you can create your own banner group. Will be happy to help with that, if that's what you decide.

Ohhh. it makes so much more sense now.

So if i wanted the banner_box and banner_box2 to rotate banners, I create them (example 3 or 4 banners) with the Banner Manager and select them as sidebox banners, and then they will automatically rotate them?

I enabled banner_box-all and then created a BannersAll, its up and working the way I want it to!
