Why does the attribute $Value decrease on Special Products?

On all other products which are not on special, the attribute shows $2

but when i add the attribute to a product that is on special, it changes the value of the attribute to $1.80 even though i set it at $2...

why is this happening?

You can apply this on a per Product per Attribute basis in the Attributes Controller ...

In simple terms, the 10% discount is being applied to your attribute as well as the product.

When you set up an attribute for a product, nearer the bottom of the page you will see 6 coloured boxed.

In the pink box it says:
"Apply Discounts Used by Product Special/Sale:"

Change this option to "no", and the attribute will now be at $2 as required!
