Default I've read & tried all the 'Blank Page' references I can find - no go. Help!

I have now looked at all the 'Blank Page' help references I can find. I've tried to activate the logging tool. I've put in the file to turn on the browser messages.

I've gotten nowhere on what must be a basic problem - When I try to access the Zen Cart main page I get a blank page.

I also did not get any error logs nor did I get any browser messages.

    Please help.

    ***

    My website:

    http:/ / sunflower-products com/

In there navigate to "The Garden and Enjoyable Things"

    http code:

    <li><a href="index.php?main_page=" target="”_blank”">The Garden and Enjoyable Things</a></li>

    produces the URL:

    http:// sunflower-products com/index.php?main_page=

which *used* to take me to the Zen Cart installed. I don't know PHP well enough to where the calling function is failing. Or maybe I lost 'main_page' somehow ...

    Help?

v1.3.8 // no add ons except for security update // I've been reducing some of the displayed blocks through the admin tools // this is my first store and I'm not really 'live' yet. // I use Firefox

as the install doesn't take all that long, and you have no mods, i would at least consider backing up your stylesheet and your database and starting again. it may take you 4-6hrs (more or less?) but i wonder how long you have already spent trying to resolve the problem? its good practice anyway : )

bottom line is that php errors really require php capabilities to debug. it sounds to me like looking for, finding and resolving your problem will be like finding a needle in a haystack unless someone actually does it for you.

to avoid this in future, you may simply want to make copies of any files you are editing (without some certainty that what you are doing won't 'break' things). certainly adds time to development, but saves heartache like this in future.

    cheers

Your link to "The Garden ..." doesn't take me to a blank page, it takes me to a 404 (page does not exist) page. Where is your Zencart installation installed? Is it in the root of your site, or a subdirectory?

I don't think a 'jump page' is a good idea - Zencart should be your whole site, with the cart in the root.

    In my x10Hosting account:

    /public_html
    |
    -includes(Zen Cart folder)
    - index.html

    Thanks for the attention.

What's even more frustrating is that it worked on mod-day, but was broken on mod-day + 1.

As to re-install, I've been changing the header graphics - but that may not be so difficult to re-install ...

Are the security updates all included in the new downloads for Zen Cart?

    Thanks.

that i don't know, although i would assume so.
as for header graphics, they should only be a combination of image files and css, so adding to my earlier comments about backing up - include all your custom files as well. sory for that omission : )
