What is "Product Qty Min/Unit Mix"

This field is on the product setup, but I can't find anything that explains what it is.

This is for what method should be used to determine the Minimum, Maximum and Units calculation when ordered ...

The issue is for when Attributes are on the Product ...

If the Minimum is quantity 6 ...

If Attributes are on the Product and the "mix" of attributes does not affect the number quantity, meaning 2 Red 3 Green and 1 Yellow is 6 ... then you want to allow the Mix ...

Product Qty Min/Unit Mix: Yes

If the "mix" cannot be used to meet the Minimum, Maximum, Unit settings, meaning 6 Red or 6 Green or 6 Yellow then you want the NOT allow the Mix ...

Product Qty Min/Unit Mix: No

When I set an item under a category for a minimum of 3 it does not allow me to "mix" It makes me pick 3 of the same item. What am I doing wong?
