How do I do a database backup?
When I go to the Store Manager I see the message listed below.

Empty Admin Activity Log table from the database
WARNING: Be sure to backup your database before running this update!

Use phpMyAdmin from your webmaster panel to create a backup of your database. You can't do it from inside Zen Cart presently, at least not without an addon.

I can't figure out how to backup the database. I have the same warning to "empty the admin activity log." Do I really need what I'm backing up? I receive a detailed email of every order. As of now, people cannot place new orders and I believe it's because the admin activity log is full.


PLEASE HELP! Thanks. Oh, and I don't know where the "webmaster panel" is and for the life of me can't find the "phpMyAdmin" THANKS!

Simple Hack. They renamed our store name. Beyond me how people do that, but I hope I never meet them.

The webmaster panel is the interface provided by your hosting service. It has nothing to do with Zen Cart. You should find phpMyAdmin there.

Be sure to update your site with all of the Security Patches for your version:

There is no such thing as a "simple hack" ... it is time to really check and verify your site for added files, other hacked files, database table alterations etc. to be safe ...
