Idea or Suggestion Language Packs. General question.

When someone has the time,, I would like to know how well
    the spanish language pack works?

Is it something I could do as an addon to an existing site?

    Thanks

Piece of cake. Their really good. Better than mechanical translators.

Just add the new_language.php page to the /catalog/includes.languages directory and also the new_language folder to the same directory.

Once you log into the admin you'll find out which pages are missing in the Add-On.

Make sure that the new language folder completely matches your Primary Language Folder or you will see untranslated text.

To be sure, you could duplicate your Primary Language Folder and upload that to your website then rename it via FTP to Spanish, and then mirror the duplicate folder and the Spanish folder. You'll only overwrite the pages that you have in the new language folder. Hopefully your FTP app has a Mirror function.

I use my Mac Translator to band-aid the language packs to match my Add-Ons. Phone a friend.

After installing language packs, log into Admin go to Localization > Languages and choose the language you want to use.
    Cheers!

Thanks Webskipper. That was a very thorough.

I would say you covered it. I get a lot of spanish customers
and I think that they do well with english. However they spend more time on the site usually which is fine. But I have a feeling its due to the language. And besides I have lived a few years away from home in a country with a different language. I always tryed to find something english LOL.

Is there a addon you would recommend for 1.3.8a? Or did I miss it above...

If I missed it don t worry I will be re-reading it several times.
