I don't know if what I want is possible or feasible for that matter and...I hope this is not a dumb question!
I have a client that wants his shopping cart to be multilingual and wants his customers to shop in their native currency. No problem! The client is a musician and sells tickets to concerts all around the world through his zen cart. He promotes the concerts and prices according to the venue.
For example:
Concert 1 (Australia) - $25 AUD
Concert 2 (Japan) - 2000 yen
Concert 3 (United States) - $20 USD
The advertisements read $25 AUD for Concert 1. If I use automatic currency updates (or manual) and have USD as the default currency, Concert 1 would no longer be $25 AUD, it would change with the rates, hence making false advertisements. If I make AUD as default currency, Concert 3 would no longer be $20 USD.
What he wants is the customer to have a static price whenever they visit the site for these concerts. He doesn't want the customer to have to log in everyday and have their purchase dependant on the currency market. (Makes sense!)
Yet another dilema - He has CDs that he sells for $17 USD. He wants them to be always $17 USD and always $23 AUD according to the country of origin.
I thought about having different carts, but REALLY do not want to do that. I saw the user currency mod, but not sure if this is what I need.
If this is not possible, can someone explain why. I am getting confused when I try to explain to my client that a default currency is required but then think of different scenarios where it is feasible.
Zen Cart v.1.3.8
Thank you sooooooo much for any help!
