Default Secure/Unsecure in IEX7 and IEX8 but not Firefox?

RE: http://imagesbydavido.com

This security issue has reared its ugly head again with IEX 7 and IEX 8. There is no error message in Firefox.

I checked with forums and here is a suggested solution
- support.quovadisglobal.com/KB/a55/i-get-error-this-page-contains-both-secure-nonsecure-items.aspx

Originally for IEX 6 and earlier the error was due to iframes or frames that loaded secure pages, but did not include unsecure pages... and some purport that it is due to js pages.

Microsoft has a ridiculous reply - in that the "yes" and "no" clicks in the reply are reversed in IEX 7 as compared to IEX 8.

Can you help me?

Respectfully,

I'm seeing it, and it seems to be caused, believe it or not, by the pre-entered text in your search box. The javascript is calling

http://www.google.com/coop/cse/brand?form=searchbox ...

and I don't think you can have links to another site on a secured page.

stevesh,

You are a genius. You are absolutely right. Thank you for taking the time to check this out for me. I totally overlooked the fact that I had to go back and redo the "Mr. Google" search box. Way to go.

Respectfully,

Dr. Byte,

Thank you for taking a look at the issue. My apologies that you did not see it. Stevesh happened to see it and was able to ascertain it was in the Google search.

This forum is undoubtedly the best. I have torn my hair out (what little is left) trying all the other suggestions (other forums). I should not knock them - but they do not hold a candle to you all.

Again with respect to you all,

jund - John Underwood
