Default Changed Hosting and Need to "Reinstall"

Hey everyone. I just changed my hosting to a new company and want to make sure I don't screw up my installation on the new host.

I already have Zen Installed at the new host, no problem there.
I had IH2 and Easy Populate on my old host.

Do I need to reinstall these two programs the same way I did originally or will just dragging my backup onto the new server take care of everything?

Will I need to do anything special to get my old DB loaded again, or will just dragging that over take care of it?

Last question, if I rename my admin folder (for security purposes), is it going to screw anything else up? Or will I just be pointing at a different URL when I need to log-in to my admin site?

    Thanks. Michael

    Start here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100

Then deal with renaming your admin later after you've got things working following the move: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=33

Thanks for the link, that was great.

I was able to get through all of that and here is what I am getting now.

    1146 Table 'autocus1_zc01.configuration' doesn't exist
    in:
[select configuration_key as cfgkey, configuration_value as cfgvalue from configuration]

The only part of the entire process that I really didn't understand fully is when I was using the 'Fix Cache Key' and it stated,

MAKE SURE THE DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE SETTING IS CORRECT IN YOUR /INCLUDES/CONFIGURE.PHP FILE

It never stated what "correct" was. I wasn't really even sure what I was supposed to be checking to see was correct. I just didn't mess with it since everything else had went smooth so far.

Any ideas on what I did wrong?

I moved from GoDaddy to BlueHost, if that matters.

Zen Cart uses the database details from your configure.php file to find the database server, login with the username and password, access the database name specified, and inside that it looks for tables beginining with the db-prefix value (and blank means no prefix).

In your case, the message means it's looking in the database named "autocus1_zc01" for a table named "configuration" ... and can't find it.

So, either you've set the prefix to blank when the table is really named with some sort of prefix (often "zen_"), or the database itself is empty.

Chances are you skipped the instructions in step 2a of the link I mentioned, which talked about making sure you use the same prefix in the new site as was used in the old one. In that case you'll need to set the DB_PREFIX in your 2 configure.php files to be the same as the DB_PREFIX that was used on your old server.

You were exactly right. Problem fixed and everything seems to be running great. Thank you.

My other question was about renaming the Admin folder. Could you point me in the right direction on that?
