image problem Pulling hair out over multiple photos

Basic template with override directory created via GoDaddy automated installation version 1.3.8.

I have reveiwed multiple posts and other sources on this topic and I am confident I did what was recommended, but to no avail.

I have uploaded the additional images for my product using FTP, made sure the CHMOD is OK, created medium and large directories, added _LRG and _MED where appropriate. Verified the configuration files as instructed.

Main photo looks fine. There are two "larger image" links at the bottom where the other two photos should be, but no photos. Click on the link and nothing is in the window.

The product in question is the jacket under the apparel section.

    Thanks in advance!

Seems that it's a bad image file: http:// glutenfreesurvivalguide .com/zencart/images/large/Jacket1_2_LRG.jpg

I believe you, but I can't remedy it. I took two different photos and moved them into production, renaming them with the same names as the two secondary photos (at least one of which you say is corrupt), and overwriting the old ones.

    Same problem.

Is this common? I am frustrated by the difficulty of something that should be relatively easy.

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

No, it's not common. You're right: It is quite easy.

Something must be amuck with the actual image files you uploaded. Maybe it didn't transfer the files properly? Image files should be transferred as binary files.

You are a Zen God! Apparently FireFTP doesn't use a binary upload, at least not by default.

I used Filezilla and it works beautifully.

Now that I've showered you with praise, any thoughts on easily adding fields to the customer table?

    Many, many thanks!

That's an entirely different topic, for which there are various discussions already present on the forum, with varying degrees of success and difficulty.
