Default Advanced Search problem with submit button on various browsers?

    http://www.bodykits.net/index.php?ma...earch_advanced

When browsing with FireFox, Chrome, Safari, etc. the Search function only works when you click on the "Go!" button. Hitting the enter key does nothing.

    However, with IE no problem.

The exact opposite is happening with my search on the upper right of the page. With IE you must click on the button to get it to work properly, clicking the enter key submits the search with no data. However, any other browser has no problem with that search form when clicking the enter key.

Is there a way I can make both forms work when clicking the enter key, regardless of browser?

I'm not sure why the difference between the two search boxes, but it seems that the behavior isn't even consistent in the same browser. Google 'submit with enter' to see some possible javascript fixes.

FWIW, I would prefer the opposite from what you're asking for. I like the button to control submission, especially on longer forms like Create Account. It's a pain to be zipping through a form and accidentally hit Enter instead of Tab and have an incomplete form go whizzing off into the Internet, or a big box of error messages pop up.

I mainly only need this on the search forms.

I also have an issue with the Year dropdown displaying "0" when empty instead of the default of "Select Year".

    How can I fix that?

It seems to be inconsistent when it returns "0" instead of "Select Year".

There is never a time that I want it to be "0". So how do I have it be the default "Select Year" anytime the value returns as "0"?
