    Default Banners File?

    Hi,
I have look through my book and checked threw the forums and not found a answer to the question on this subject so here goes.
I am upgrading my 137 to 138a with a clean install. I would like to move the banners and setup I have in the old to the new. Can I do this and if so, what files do I need to move or copy to do this.
    Thank you

This is just for the banners.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean but I'll try to see if I can answer your question.

If you are upgrading "directly" from v1.3.7 to v1.3.8a, you should not have any impact on the banner settings in your store. Just make sure the banner images are still in place after the upgrade.

If by "clean" upgrade, you mean wiping out your v1.3.7 store and installing a brand new v1.3.8a store with a new database. Then you will need to re-configure your store settings, transfer all previous images from your old store to your new store's directory. Finally, make any changes to your custom template to resolve any conflicts with the previous v1.3.7 store.

The easier approach will the the "direct" upgrade path and the steps are covered in the following Tutorials/FAQ article here and here.

NOTE: Always make sure you have a proper backup of your database and files before doing any upgrades or mod installations.

    Hi,
I wanted to have a clean copy of ZC installed so I chose this route.
I have up graded other carts I have but wanted a clean start.
I have moved all my images and parts of my files I wanted to save.
I was hoping that their was a file that held all my banner entries so I would not have to recreate each one again.
I am still using the same data base.
THis is why I ask if this could be done or see if I have to start from scratch with all my banner ads and recreate them by hand.
Thank you for your help & reply.

All the banner information you see in your Admin->Tools->Banner Manager is stored in the database.
So, if you are upgrading the same actual database, the banner data will be automatically carried forward since it's part of the data in the database.
