    Default Welcome Email problem?

    Today I got a forwarded email from a subscriber with my newsletter welcome attached... it looked like this:

    "EMAIL_WELCOME

    EMAIL_TEXTEMAIL_CONFIRMATION_TEXTEMAIL_CONTACTEMAIL_CLOSURE

    EMAIL_DISCLAIMER_NEW_CUSTOMER"


    what page do I define these on? I was looking at includes/modules/create_account.php but I'm not sure if that's the place to change it or what I should change exactly. Help!!! I've gotten a ton of new newsletter subscribers recently and they may ALL be receiving this email!!

    If you use the Developers Tool Kit to search for EMAIL_WELCOME, you'll see the files where that's defined. One of them is missing, corrupted or has been edited incorrectly.

    it seems to be working, though... it found this:

    "/home7/omgliaco/public_html/includes/languages/english/create_account.php

    Line #22 : define('EMAIL_WELCOME', 'We wish to welcome you to <strong>' . STORE_NAME . '</strong>.'); "

    isn't that what is SUPPOSED to say?
    Because tools >> email welcome looks fine, too....

    I'm not sure what you mean by "newsletter subscribers". Zen Cart only tracks registered "customers", and if they choose to be on your newsletter list as part of that, great. The "create account"/welcome email is only sent when customers register an account on your store.

    If you have some sort of newsletter subscriber addon installed, then things may operate differently, and in that case maybe something is broken with *that*?

    As you can see, there is a lot of information missing in terms of how your site is set up ... so any help offered is entirely speculation.

    I have a newsletter module that allows for newsletter only subscribers.

    I only have 1 language on my site, english.

    Okay, so when was the last time you tested sending a newsletter to make sure it was sending correct content?

    And when did you last test getting a welcome email by creating a new account?

    I've been sending myself test newsletters for the past 2 days and haven't received a single one, double checked and they are going to my email address but aren't showing up. Checked my spam filters, couldn't find them.

    I just created a test account, waiting for conf email ...

    it's been 20 minutes and no conf email.
    I reinstalled the module and that made no difference either!
