    Default Require CVV

    I have a customer that is requesting that the CVV be required, is this a legitimate request? They said Authorize.net charges them less if the cvv number is present. Is there a way to do this, and is it a feasable request? I.E. are there any reasons they SHOULDNT do this? And if there are what can I tell them?

    There's a setting in the Zencart authorize.net configuration that turns CVV checking on and off. I'm surprised they don't require it.

    I am as well, I have it turned on but my client is complaining that it isnt required.

    I havent attempted to make it required yet, I just know its not a built in feature. Some customers have entered the cvv some havent, the client wants all customers to be required to enter the CVV. Wondering if its an ok request, have most major credit cards moved to cvv? We accept amex, visa, master card, and discover.

    If you're using the Authorize.net AIM module, it is required by default.

    The older less secure SIM module requires that you change settings both in your cart and in your authnet profile if you want CVV to be required.
