template problems

hello, Its my first time on this forum and i was trying to use tutorials to my best advantage but they don't work. I am having problems with this template i am unsure on if its working and how to get it to look like it did when i bought it, I keep getting the 'congratulations' message and once i delete it there is nothing there but on the template there is supposed to be featured products so i tried to incorporate this into the main page by editing in the index file but it didn't work and adding the template boxes that also didn't work... It said also adding a sql file to adjust the tables but i dont know if that would work

If i most probably tried to contact the template supplier they would not help me with the situation.

Can any one help me and advise me what to do?

We can't offer help on template or layout issues without a link to the site.

Everyone here who reads your post will cringe a little when they get to the part about "when I bought it". Template Monster templates for Zencart are notorious for changing the internal code, causing problems that aren't fixable by editing the template files, and their customer service seems to be worse than their coding skills.

Post a link to your site, and we'll see what we can do.

A tip for other new Zenners reading this. IMO, creating/installing a new template should be the last thing you do to your site. Get everything configured and tested first, then worry about how your site looks.

to be honest uploading those table files dont really do anything either but its here i made a test site for it http://www.gamerzspawn.co.uk/muscles/

You don't have to edit much to get the basics of Zencart working. Take some time to go through the admin area and make yourself familiar with all the configuration items there. As for Featured Items, for example, you need to actually have some items defined as 'featured' (done in admin) before they can show up.

The demo you saw on your template provider's site had all this stuff configured already. You'll have to do it on yours.
