    help question Issue with Changing Order ID

    I just finished setting up my 2nd basic Zen Cart install but am having an issue with the Order ID. I changed it to start at 1005 through Admin>Tools>Store Manager, but an e-mail confirmation that just came through (after the change was made) still shows a lower #. What's odd is that the Invoice No. in Admin>Customers>Orders shows as 1005 for the same order, so I know the change was made but for some reason the e-mail confirmation doesn't reflect it. Is there a step I'm missing to get the confirmation e-mail Order Number to match the Invoice No.?

    I'm using version 1.3.8, if that matters.

    Where *exactly* do you see the "lower" number? If it's in something inside an email from a payment module, I'm not surprised since those modules only "guess" the next number since the number isn't actually generated until *after* the payment is completed and the payment module is finished. (That flow will be revamped in a future version.)
    But your actual order-confirmation email will show the new number. And, the *next* order is likely to appear just fine.

    Thanks DrByte, you're right the next order was fine. The first order had the lower order ID in the confirmation e-mail (the one sent to mysef, and not the customer. I can't be certain what # the customer saw in their e-mail). But, as you said, the next order had the higher order ID in the e-mail confirmation.
