new theme installed and now My Account missing

we have lost the "my account" link and the shopping cart sidebox won't load

I have searched everywhere and am a loss of what to do.

finally got the shopping cart to show up but am still not finding how to get the "my account" link to been seen.

It is the Fantasies Realm link in my signature if you wish to peek.

Did you enable them?

Admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller

i got the shopping cart done but is the "my account" link there too or is there a box for it to show up?

the last theme we had displayed a link for both so was not sure

Depending upon how the Template was coded, the "my account" link will always show or only show when one has logged in.

that is what i was thinking but even after loggin on I see no my account link anywhere...it went into hiding.

I finally got my blank pages to show up and the lightbox to work again but there are just a few things that nee adjusting....spaces added but lost my cheatsheets in a hard drive collapse.

thanks for all the help. I did look in layout but there is no box for my account, no my account accessibility even when gazing the shopping cart.

*************another update*************

I got crossed eyed looking to find the right spot...the header is in the overwrite (new themes named directory), everything is the same as before so I cheated...lol

I manually entered the url for the account and then copied it to the clipboard and went into the define_main_display.php file and entered a link at the top there. Hope that works for everyone and not give them my account...lol

Now for the next problem....in the css file I am sure there is the directive for having a font color change to the merchant drop down menu...to make the words a lighter color or the background.

any help with this part would be useful too. I write down the instructions and keep them and when the external hard drive dies it took everything including my artwork and cheatsheets I already had for fixes.
