Easy Populate CSV sort order incorrect after uploading new products

I am using Easy Populate CSV which I have found to be much better than the original.

One problem though. I just uploaded some new products and they are appearing in the product listing first in line in alphabetical order, then are followed by the old products in alphabetical order. This is a problem because both new and old products should appear completely integrated in alphabetical order. Why is this happening? What can I do to fix it.

I have looked through numerous threads without finding a solution and have attempted to alter the various sort order options to no effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps a sql query? or alter some code?

I think that zen cart is sorting my product listings from the order that they are listed in the database. I am unsure why.

Have set all the sort fields in admin configuration to no effect? Unusual hey?

Have tried a small edit to this file with no effect.
/includes/index_filters/default_filter.php

Have also tried deleting and reloading the products with easy populate csv from the original downloaded file with no effect.

I now think that perhaps the only way forward is to delete the files then reorder them correctly in alphabetical order then upload them again with Easy Populate CSV. This is a somewhat undesirable solution as it is a long winded fix to simple upload new products with Easy Populate CSV.

I think I've just found the source of this problem and it is so simple it is just not funny. I left a space before the start of the product name of the newly uploaded items, so they are ordering alphabetically because the space comes first. MAN! I have been scratching my head like a monkey with fleas!
