Create Database, Tables and Drop Database or Tables

Does the ZenCart create a database or create tables for the database?

And does the ZenCart ever drop a database or database tables?

Zen Cart doesn't create the database. You have to create the database before installing Zen Cart. You have to fill in the information about the database you created as part of the installation procedure. After that, Zen Cart will create all the tables necessary within the database.

I'm old, I never saw a database without tables so I didn't understand.. Thanks for the clarification.

If I am in the database setup. and I key in an existing database
will it recreate tables that already exist or bypass existing tables?

If tables with the same name exist, they'll be recreated and the data will be lost.
