You want the Column Grid mod from Free Addons to get your product listing display in a grid like your first example. Column Divider Pro (also from Free Addons) will give dotted lines separating the products.

A word of caution: the Template Monster template you have may not work correctly with these mods, as TM often changes coding in non-standard ways and makes it hard to use some built-in controls and properly constructed mods.
