Default No order details since installing patch

    Hello everybody

I think there is something wrong with the security patch. I installed the patch on 4 zen cart stores and from that day, NOBODY can see new orders.

I get confirmations from credit card processors with authorized orders but I am not able to see WHO or WHAT ordered.

I use 1.3.8.a for all shops, on Linux. I only applied the patch. until applying the patch everything OK. After that, there are no new orders into zen cart admin but still receive confirmation emails from the credit card processors, containing authorized payments.

Please, if somebody know how to fix this that should be great.

Many thanks to all of you .

    All the best
    Adrian

I suspect the problem is with implementing the patch, rather than the patch itself.

What exactly happens when you do a transaction *yourself*? Step by step, beginning to end.

I also have the same problem. An order was made, I watched it through to confirmation and updating of shipping details, then got a confirmation from Paypal IPN but no order was placed in the cart.

What can I do to troubleshoot it?

If it's a PayPal IPN transaction, what's showing in the PayPal logs?

I had this log emailed to me but when I checked the server, I couldn't find a log under includes/modules/payment/paypal/logs. Could it be a CHMOD issue? Everything is set to 755. I have managed to get a workaround however by using PayPal Express instead.

Okay, that particular log is generated when the Checkout-Confirmation (step 3) page is displayed ... where you click the button which takes you to the PayPal site to make payment.

If there are no other logs, then PayPal's server is not successfully contacting your server to store the details of the order.

The admin security patch ONLY affects the admin side, not the storefront side where the IPN transaction processing takes place.
So, either you applied the admin patch to the non-admin side, or you've got something else happening that's blocking communications: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/PayPal
