Advice Needed: temporary IP address links

Hi

I am building a new Zencart installation on a temporary IP address since the domain name is in use. Hence all the links throughout the site, including all the images, are to this temporary IP address since they are using absolute URLs.

I am worried that when the site goes live (it isn't actually being physically moved) that none of the links will work.

Will this be a problem, and if so is there a way to change the links sitewide easily, or will I have to run an SQL update on the database (feels risky!).

Or is there a way to make the links relative rather than absolute as I'm working through it?

Unless you've hardcoded the image links, once you update the two configure files for the domain (instead of the ip) you should be good to go!

Thanks for your reply Tina, and sorry for seeming to ignore it have been down with flu!

I think the images that have been placed through the HTML editor may be hardcoded? However your words encourage me, as at least the bulk of them should be in order when we go live.
