Few small questions about Layout

i read through the whole FAQ and didn't find answers so:

- i want to get rid of some of the links in the infomation section in the left column, how would I do that?

- my categories are showing on the left side & the top, how do i get rid of the ones on the top?

1. Depends on which ones you want to eliminate. Some can be turned off in Admin - Configuration - Define Page Status.

2. Admin - Configuration - Layout Settings - Categories-Tabs Menu
