Apache 500 error's and PHP errors in log??

Well I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what is going on with my Zen Cart installation and have had no luck figuring it out.

Installation of the latest release of Zen went flawlessly. On the initial install page, all items are "Green" execept for one "Yellow" item complaining I am using Mysql 5. Perhaps that is the problem. I finish up the install in a snap and when I try to view my newly created store I get an Apache 500 error message. There is NOTHING in my error logs from Apache telling me what it crapped out on me.

So, then I try to access the Admin site on my Zen Cart. Same thing. Error 500 pops up but this time Apache fills up my error log with this:

So, I don't get it. I have other things on my server that depend upon PHP and I have ZERO problems with them working.

I have downloaded Zen Cart twice thinking I might have gotten a corrupted download but that didn't fix anything.

Any Ideas?
