create account page hangs thens errors

Hi there just tried to create an account on my site and once i do, the account page turns plain white, then i press refresh in my browser windows and i get the error saying "Error Our system already has a record of that email address - please try logging in with that email address. If you do not use that address any longer you can correct it in the My Account area." But there is no customer at all with this email address. Just looking for a fix to stop the page hang ?

Just some extra info from debug log

any ideas ? i ran the "Debug Error Logging Utility" But not sure how to solve the issue.

If its any help, it seems to create the account ok but i get the error message saying that the Error Our system already has a record of that email address - please try logging in with that email address. If you do not use that address any longer you can correct it in the My Account area." but it still creates the account ? but is displaying as it has had an error somehow, sorry for the edits, just adding more in as i discover it to hopefully make it easier to solve
