That's the standard Zencart Classic template - I guess I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. The New Products, Featured Products, Best Sellers and Specials will appear when you've configured products that way in admin.

Ahhh ok, thanks. Where in the admin do i go to play with those settings. And once i've done that is there a way to display them in a div on my home page (define_main_page.php) sorry i'm very new to this.

    Thanks

I was always worried about "breaking" it also. My friend who helps when I get really stuck said the same thing "just play". It is really hard to "break" it unless your working with the code? Just as a note I found if I kept the live site open and kept looking at it as I changed things and changed them back ASAP I never ran into a problem.

Zen Cart is pretty hard to break. If you follow the override/template system and you make a mistake, you can always go back to the original version of the file and start over. Go ahead and play. Just keep track of what you change in the admin, so you can undo it if it's not what you expected.

If your host allows things like multiple databases, subdomains, etc, then you can set up a completely separate zc installation at the same web address as your live store. It can be set up to prevent SE spidering (I don't just rely on robots.txt, but put the installation into a .htaccess controlled folder - this can be set up in your host c-panel using password-controlled directories feature).

Then, use this installation to do all your testing and messing about. If you seriously break this installation, just dump the whole thing and start again!
