We are considering using Zen Cart to better systemize our video equipment rental business. I'm very new to this, but know we would need the following things that so far haven't jumped out at me on how to do. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
1) The ability to add optional accessories at the detail page of an item. For example, if we rent an HD camera, we would like to give them a list of other things to rent, like an HD field monitor, tripod, etc.
2) The ability to add a field upon checkout listing the dates requested for the rental.
3) The ability to send us a Rental Request based on the shopping cart at checkout, rather than actually paying for it with a credit card.
Anybody who has already used this for a rental business has probably already encountered these challenges and set it up. Rather than re-inventing the wheel, I thought I'd see what others have done.
Again, any input would be a huge help!
