Lost three months of orders?!?!

At least three months of order history has suddently disappeared from my customers/orders page in the admin area. I am running v1.3.7 and I haven't changed anything recently. I am missing all of the orders from May, June and July. New orders placed in the past couple days are showing up. Any idea why this might be happening?

If you use the search feature and look up a "missing" order by its number, does it find it? If so, what does it say its status is set to? And, if you update its status to something like "Processing", does it now show up in your list of orders?

Did you recently delete anything from the list of Order Status options under Admin->Localization->Orders Status ?
