Default Cannot log into my Admin

    Hi
Suddenly last night I could not log into the admin panel it just hangs on the log in page. I had it send a new pasword and that worked and I also ran a repair on the data base and still not working. The site is working fine and orders are processing and order notifications are coming through but no acess to complete processing. Thanks for your help
    Cheers

Maybe your hosting server's name-resolve service is not working properly and thus is preventing your store from successfully querying whether your version of Zen Cart is up to date. Related FAQ: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=81

    Hi
My version is an upgrade to 138. The hosting comany is Host Monster and I had them check it and they said the only thiing they could find was the Mslq error. I have a mirror site running on the same domain we use for inventory for the distributors for drop shipping. It sits in a folder on the main directory and it has no trouble logging in. I will still check with them again on this but I would think they would both be out in that case
    Thanks
PS both sites in this directory were working fine before
PSS all other functions on the log in work fine including sending a new password

So, when did this all start? esp in relation to the "upgrade to 138" that you mentioned?
What other changes/factors might have had any impact due to closeness in timing to the symptoms you're talking about?

The upgrade was done a year ago and there have been no changes. I also just got this error Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home2/latexinn/public_html/makupartist/138/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file (read-only, CHMOD 644 or 444 are typical). You may need to use your webhost control panel/file-manager to change the permissions effectively. Contact your webhost for assistance. See this FAQ
and set the config to 444 as it was 644 before but was working. I have not made a change on the site in about two or three weeks and everything has been working. The only other change has been the processing of orders. the problems started now two days ago.

I had not read the security email carfully enough to see the security patch. I did rename the admin file but not the patch it is done now. I will update everything with a fresh install on the next zen update
Thank it seems to be working now

Hopefully you've also done any requisite cleanup or at least scanned everything to prove that there are no remnants of having been hacked.
