Free product still add cost like tax &/or shipping

Hi,

I use Zen Cart 1.3.8.

When I test bought a free download product of mine, It still added a tax &/or shipping cost.

Anyone who know where and how to allow a free product to become completly free?

You're telling us nothing about how you configured your download product, making it very difficult to diagnose your problem.

Indeed you're not even telling us clearly what the problem is. Did it add shipping, or tax or both, and how much of each?

Did you follow the guidance given in the section headed "Important Facts about Download Settings" in the main FAQ article, which tries to pick up common problems in setting up downloads?

Hi Kuroi,

The webhost I use have a service in which I just clicked in the webhost controlpanel "click zencart to install", which installed it and configurated it all for me. Now, I made a "my_template", which is working, as I go along and make all personal customizing in my "my_template".

I placed my download product in the download folder. (maybe wrongly in my "my_template" root)

But all the same it shouldnt ask for money when its a free product should it?

When I click the product, log in as a returning client. And check the check box, meaning selecting the product, and click go to check out. in step 1 and step 2 I get these results, and as you will see, there is no money for the actual product, but there is apparently for the flat rate and per item. Very odd.

Sorry forgot to tell, I placed a jpeg file as is, with no zip compression or anything. Just as is.

That cost is the shipping, not taxes. You need to reconfigure your download, the cart thinks it is a physical product.

But where and how do I reconfigure my download to not add any fee´s? I dont seem to find it.
