flat shipping + handling per item

is there a way to configure flat shipping + a handling charge per item?

basically $3 shipping
$1 handling

so if they order 1 item it would total $4 but if they order 10 items it would be $13

OK i did some looking, would the following changes to the flat rate module work if i wanted the flate rate then the total # of items times 5. I'm just using 5 as an example any number should work right?

OK that last one did not work at all. However i played around a bit and attatched is a working flate rate shipping + handling per item.

example

flat shipping of $15 + $3 per item
if someone were to order 10 items their total shipping costs would be
15+ (3*10) for a total of $45 using this modified flat rate module

I believe you need to look at the Item Rate ...

You appear to want a Handling fee plus a per item rate ...

Handling: 12.00
Rate: 3.00

1 item = 12 + 3 = $15
2 items = 12 + 2*3 = $18
3 items = 12 + 3*3 = $21
10 items = 12 + 3*10 = $42

Adjust Handling and unit price as needed ...
