Doubled main URL

Hi, I have installed and working a e-commerce site using zen cart. It is not finished yet, but I am already testing it.

Google finds two main URL pages , they are:
http://www.acquatua.it/index.php ? main_pa
and
http://www.acquatua.it/index.pxp ? main_page=index

I do not understand how this comes.

I have created the classic_mio folder to personalize the site and, to me, it is working as it should.

Google in webmaster tools indicates that this a duplication of meta title and meta description.
I do not know how much this is a problem, but I would like to have only one index page, also I do not understand how the url http://www.acquatua.it/index.php ? main_pa can actually work.
Any suggestion is welcome.
I am not an expert webmaster, I know only the bases and I am missing a lot so please try to be very clear when answering.

http://www.acquatua.it/index.php ? main_pa isn't really working. What's happening is that Zen Cart is rejecting the string after the index.php as invalid, ignoring its contents and sending you to the home page, which just happens to the same page.

You issue therefore is only that Google has picked up an invalid page link. Whether that's a dodgy link elsewhere or a Google error is impossible to tell, so I'd recommend focussing your attention on using Google Webmaster tools to request that it be removed from the index.

Also, by posting those links here you have just served them up for Google to re-index! I'll take care of that for you, but recommend against posting links that you don't want Google to index, as it's on this site constantly and most posts are indexed within minutes of being posted.

If you remove index.php and other main page duplicates in webmasters tools

1. The url must first be blocked from crawl or indexing
2. You will remove your entire main page (all of the duplicate copies)

Remove the links to index.php and index.php?main_page=index from all instances in your template... The redirect the index.php back to the domain url.

I am not sure I understood however what I should do.
Do I need to add the wrong URL on the robots.txt as disallow?
Melanie wrote me to add all the main pages but this seems to be wrong to me.

I didn't say to "add" anything ... I said remove these links from your site... By the same token you are linking to these pages incorrectly yourself... same as in the forum here.

However, how can i remove links from my site?

Edit the links in your template to your main page to point to the store root instead of the duplicate versions of the main page.
