Upload limit

I need to upload some electronic products, including some large MP3 files. There is no limit on my server but Zen cart will not allow me to upload anything greater than 2mb. I've changed the maximum upload limit in the Configuration utility but it is still rejecting anything bigger than 2048000 bytes.

Anybody have any ideas?

You need to change your php.ini file you can do this in some hosts including ours in the Cpanel. If not try making a file in the home directory so just / not like /public_html/

and put the following there and see if this works.

upload_max_filesize = 64M

You can change the 64M to whatever you want.

If this does not work let me know I have subscribed to the threat.

Thank you - I can't find the php.ini file and the other method doesn't seem to work...

I'm on my own server and have a good relationship with my ISP so I'll get onto them tomorrow about the php.ini file. The site developer is still in conctact with me, too, so I can also get him onto the problem.

I'll let you know what happens.

Please do. I was gonna post my Php.ini file so you can see what it looks like but its to big. Said to many characters

Well, I found the php.ini file eventually (via FTP) and changed it - I can certainly load bigger files than before but anything over about 10mb produces an "ERROR: unknown data... process terminated." message.

The files will upload via FTP but then the Media Manager doesn't recognise them...

I am assuming that you set the upload limit to bigger than 10MB, What did you set your upload limit at? and you mentioned that you are on your own server, is it a dedicated server, semi dedicated, virtual private do you know?

Will it take a file that is exactly 10MB in size but nothing over. Can you post that part of your Php.ini file so I can see what it looks like?

You may also want to ask the ISP your with if they have a cap, i doubt they do but just to knock that possibility out of the way.

Does it happen with all files or just some like will it take a zip file but not an mp3?
