Wow that's way old. The current stock by attributes was derived from that, but an awful lot of bugs got fixed on the way.

I recommend doing a comparison of the files between the version you were using and the vanilla version 4.7. I suspect that you will find that the database tables are similar if not identical, but that the files have changed slightly. Where the file exists in both, you would be able to overwrite it. Where it only exists in your old version, you would need to ensure that you were reverting to the core Zen Cart version from a fresh download.

BTW. You probably don't need to compare the contents of the files, just which files are used in each to be able to revert to unchanged ones if the changes aren't needed for the more recent version.
