Default Site Speed...my code or my server?

    Hello,

I recently launched my zencart site and I'm trying to optimize its performance. I see a lot of posts about poor hosting companies and I was wondering if some of my issues might not be with my code and images but rather my host.
Right now I am hosted by Netfirms. I looked under the "Certified Hosts" of Zen Cart and they aren't one of them...though in my Netfirms control panel under applications they do now offer an option to download ZenCart. Are they now and Certified Host?

I recently ran some parse times and they came back as:

    Parse Time: 2.150 - Number of Queries: 39 - Query Time: 1.0464636699219
    Parse Time: 0.530 - Number of Queries: 26 - Query Time: 0.051118502090454
    Parse Time: 0.799 - Number of Queries: 106 - Query Time: 0.45239531144714
    Parse Time: 4.558 - Number of Queries: 172 - Query Time: 1.6544105138702
    Parse Time: 2.969 - Number of Queries: 172 - Query Time: 0.44255828633118
    Parse Time: 2.240 - Number of Queries: 171 - Query Time: 1.7247375142059
    Parse Time: 5.232 - Number of Queries: 57 - Query Time: 1.868442625824
    Parse Time: 2.342 - Number of Queries: 23 - Query Time: 0.90606905729675

I've gone through and optimized all my images. Any feedback towards this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for your time,

    Adrian

Your site seems sluggish to me.

The 'Certified' hosts are hosts who have proven to the Zencart devs that they 'get' Zencart, and whose servers are set up to optimize the program.

    Your images seem OK.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, Zen Cart is available on a myriad of hosts via Fantastico and other one click installers, that doesn't mean the host is properly set up for ecommerce.
