Uploading Images

Hi

can anyone help with my image uploading problem?

When i try to upload a jpeg image size 300 x300 the website shows the name of the image and a red cross in the top left corner.

Further to my last question regarding image uploading I should have said the section I am working on is 'Camellias' sub catagory 'New varieties 2009'
