**Blank page at check out**

Hi, I've fixed my cart many times by researching other topics in this forum, but I've finally become desperate.

I've tried the blank page fix, but dont really understand it.

I am running zen cart version 1.3.8a with a zenflavor template that I have tweaked quite a lot. I don't upload via FTP.

I find blank pages in two different places:

> When a single item is listed in a category the page pulls up as blank. When the category is empty or has two or more items it is fine.

> Tried to practice a checkout last night and one or two of the checkout screens pull up as blank.

The error message is telling you that on line 216 of /store/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/blank_sidebox_defines.php you have a problem.

And, looking up your error message in the FAQ area brings up this article, which explains how to read that error message as well as what to do about it, including removing the extra spaces/lines at the end of that file: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=87

When I delete the extra spaces, they don't delete...I can't figure it out. Also, I get this issue now.

That would be a similar problem on line 218 of your meta_tags.php file.

I've narrowed my problems down to one thing:

Every time I adjust my meta tag I get blank pages. I keep the quotations and everything just as it should be, only change the title of the page.

And then ZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAP - blank pages. Every time I try to delete the empty spaces I save and then when I open to edit again, they are ALL back like magic.

Any ideas? I can't upload via FTP...maybe that's what I need to do but I don't know how to do it. ALL I want is the title of my page to say Eva Skye Couture...

Blah...

If you're editing using some sort of tool inside your browser on a web page, that's almost certainly what's causing the problems.

There are many great FTP tutorials around the internet.

And many great free text editors which won't damage your files. One good choice is Notepad++: http://notepad-plus.sf.net

Okay. I used SmartFTP and the contents of my meta_tag.php erased...

Is there ANY OTHER WAY I can change my meta tag?r
