Avoid Step 1 of 3 - Delivery Information page

Hi,

I tried all the thread looking for this simple solution, I m sure it is easy but just I am not able to figure it out.

How can I just skip the shipping page i.e Step 1 of 3 - Delivery Information?
My website has FREE Shipping for everything; hence I want to just skip this step to give user less of the clicks and pages

Can somebody help me with this. Really appreciated

Hi,
Thanks for leading me with the tutorial, and I did tried but kind of NO luck.

Let me explain things better at my development end:
I have designed a customized module in zencart, and through which I am adding NEW products instead of adding the products through Admin section
With the tutorial in mind, I tried making sure that the FIELD named product_is_always_free_shipping in the products table is assigned a value 1, which makes sure that the product is setup as FREE Shipping
product_is_always_free_shipping=1
Hence I would expect when the go for chkout then it should skip to payment because product_is_always_free_shipping=1 for the added products

Please let me know if I need to update any other place if I m adding the products through program
At this point, I am updating following table only:
products, products_description
My main objective is that, for the FREE shiping products added I want to skip the shipping page and control should go directly to Payment page

Perhaps you can try adding a free shipping product via the Admin first and then verifying it works properly with your Free Shipping module before testing with your custom module.

Do note that your Shipping Zone is set to 'New Jersey'. For testing purposes, you may want to set that to 'none' so the option will be triggered regardless of the shipping address your test customer specifies.

I tried the setup what you mentioned but I was still not able to skip the step 1 of 3 page
I did got a way to found a solution by setting all the products as Virtual products, but please advice that is it a right way work around.

also, if you can help me know what does this tutorial (https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=70) talk about

Right below the section where you set the products as Virtual, it says: Always Free Shipping: That's what the tutorial is talking about.
