anything to make your site more secure, run faster etc is certainly a plus. It's up to you whether your implement it or not though. I hadn't seen this before you posted your question and I am certainly gonna do it.

I tried it and this is what I get..

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*' www/// - on line 21

If someone has 1.3.8 and tried this patch lets see an example of your app file.php so I can get this corrected.

    Thanks...

Well I just installed the patch and have no errors. I am hoping you saved your application_top.php onto your local maching before you implemented this. If so just try it again. I suspect you probably didn't follow the instructions fully.

Im not php smart, so I always back up folders when working so its like I got 3 folders at a time untill finished. Do you replace the whole file with just this code you gave me or add this in at line 2? I took it as you add this into whats already in the folder?

    Thanks...

yes go to your /includes/application_top.php on your computer, not your server. copy the code you see in the tutorial and add it to line two. Just below the <?php (like the patch instructions says)
then save it and ftp the file onto your server in your includes folder.

It worked that time I think the original code has a couple ) ) in the wrong place...

I usually just copy from server with filezilla work on it save it, throw another good copy on desktop then try it, and you know the rest from there...

    Thanks for the code JQ...

    Your welcome.
There are no extra ) ) in the tutorial, so the problem was in how you edited.
