featured products on main page description length

Hi, does anyone know where\how i can change the length of description for featured products that are enabled on the main page?

I am able to change this for the feature listing page but I cannot find where to change it for the featured products listed on the main page.

Thanks I tried that it works but only for the featured items listing\page. It does not work for featured items listed on the main page.

I obviously had that completely wrong. Sorry!

Yeah, i figured it out. I had to manually modify featured_products.php and adjust description length in the line that has ...'products_description']), 0, 170) . '...'; the description length was the last number in this case "170"
