inventory count

hi, i am really confused.
when i place an order for an item using a money order method i get a new order email. and the item is reduced from stock.

but if i do the same type of order thru paypal i get only a store receipt with no product info and nothing in admin/customers /orders.
also inventory is not reduced. almost 99% of my items are only 1 available.

please help

That's a classic symptom of a misconfiguration of your server when using the PayPal Website Payments Standard module.

You have a few options:
a) fix the communications and/or configuration problems: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/PayPal

b) use Express Checkout instead of Website Payments Standard
